What would Jesus eat? I think it's clear; it's all in the Bible. Jesus wakes up early in the morning and heads to a fast food restaurant for His regular coffee and breakfast.
When He arrives at 4:30am, they are closed. The Lord speaks:
"Be opened!"
And there was light. Jesus walks to the drive through.
"Do you have anything to eat?"
A voice crackles from the box: Well, sir, we are just opening and it might take a bit to get some things.
"Behold, I come quickly."
yes, sir, we noticed that. in any case, we'll see what we can do.
"The time is short."
then might i recommend an egg muffin? we can fix that up in a hurry! in any case, just let me know when you are ready. (pause, as Jesus reads the menu)
"If anyone hears my voice, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
not necessary, sir. the dining room isn't open yet. what can we get you?
"Five loaves and two fish."
and how would you like those fish cooked?
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
that might take some extra time. is that okay?
"No man knows the day or the hour. Not even the Son of Man."
ah. okay, then. and what to drink?
"Fill the jars to the brim with water."
two large waters? and would you like to try one of our new fancy coffees?
"The old is better."
frankly, i agree, sir. anything for dessert?
"I have food you do not know of."
all right, then. that will be $5.84 at the first window, including tax.
"The sons are exempt."
i see. then make that $5.01 at the window.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock."
wow! that was fast!
"This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting."
uhm. right. that will be $5.01.
(Jesus hands him a $5 bill.)
"Take, and eat."
buddy, this is the crispest, cleanest bill i've ever seen! where did you get this?
"Behold, I make all things new."
i may need to have the manager look at that bill. uh, do you have a penny?
"Rejoice with me, for I have found my coin!"
excellent. and here is your food.
"You have been faithful with little. Now I will put you in charge of much."
how so, sir?
"Five thousand men, not counting women and children."
that's a lot, but we can handle it.
"And the number was 144,000, from each tribe of Israel."
that's a lot of kosher food, but i think we can do it.
"A vast multitude, numbering ten thousand times ten thousand."
no, i think they will need to go to Burger Doodle down the street.
"Where I go you know, and the way you know."
